Resources for Reflexology Education
and Business Coaching
by Linda Chollar

Linda Chollar is a Holistic Health Practitioner, Clinical Reflexologist, Educator and Mentor. She has helped thousands of people find renewed health and pain-free living with wellness coaching and healing touch therapy.

Inspiration to make wellness a priority in her life began over thirty years ago as Linda watched her mother's health decline while the prescriptions and her pain increased. Her search for natural solutions for healthcare led her to train in the healing arts and she found her calling in helping others who suffered from unhealthy living and chronic pain.

Trained in diverse holistic appraoches, she has specialized in the therapy of reflexology for 18 years, in her private pain management practice, as well as teaching reflexology on a professional level.

Linda provides personalized mentoring programs for reflexologists, coaching them in the skills of reflexology and business building. As a supporter of higher education in the field of reflexology, she is actively involved in the reflexology community, serving on the ACARET Board of Directors and as the Educational Director, U.S. Office for Dr. J. Manzanares.

SCIENCE-BASED EDUCATION  with Dr. Manzanares from Spain

Linda began training in the Manzanares Method of Reflexology in 2002 with Dr. Jesus Manzanares, renowned reflexology researcher and M.D. from Barcelona, Spain.  She was inspired to bring his advanced reflexology training course into this country and in 2008, she became the U.S. educational director for Dr. Manzanares  with office in Los Angeles, CA. Continuing education classes in The Manzanares Method of Reflexology, is open to all health professionals seeking clinical level skills and training in science-based principles of reflexology.

European Medical Doctor and Researcher A Featured Speaker at the ICR International Reflexology Conference on Sept. 11, 2009 in Los Angeles.

Dr. Jesus Manzanares, M.D. presented certain aspects of his reflexology research for the first time at this conference. The topic of his lecture was "The Science Behind Deposits". He displayed images of biopsies of tissue taken from the feet of patients in which he  studied the composition of what is referred to as deposits.  His findings can now put to rest many out-dated theories about these areas in the feet and bring light to why reflexologists discover sensitivity in certain areas of the feet. Attendees to the conference viewed actual magnetic resonant images of foot 'deposits' as the doctor explained the different types of tissue and how reflexologists can not only identify these deposits but modify them with reflexology techniques.

In past years there has been a lack of science-based training in the art of reflexology. Dr. Manzanares has became the first medical doctor to offer training in his personal method to the reflexology industry. With over 28 years of reflexology research and experience, he has developed the revolutionary Manzanares Method of ReflexologyTM, which is based on his scientific and clinical findings.

He brings to reflexology an unprecedented combination of medical training, reflexology research, and practical experience gained from the use of reflexology in his private medical practice in Barcelona, Spain. He is now expanding his classes to the U.S., which incorporate presentation of his clinical findings with hands-on training.

Finally ... the answers to questions and theories since the early 1900’s:

* The first science-based explanation for reflexology!
* The first biopsy research on the feet revealing the truth about deposits!
* Theta brain waves validated with EEG studies during reflexology!

Dr. Manzanares has pioneered research that validates many of the long-held theories in reflexology: that the central nervous system is the mechanism for reflexology impulses; that tender reflex points referrred to as deposits have a scientific and anatomical basis and that reflexology can be effective in a medical practice. His research provides far-reaching opportunities in reflexology education and for consumers seeking reflexology as a valid complementary form of healthcare.
