About Linda

Linda Chollar's twenty year career in the field of holistic health embraces both eastern and western approaches including massage therapy, energy medicine, reflexology, reiki, craniosacral therapy, polarity therapy, clinical hypnotherapy and wellness coaching.

Building on years of experience in private practice, Linda has shared her knowledge as an educator, speaker, author, and industry advocate.

Holistic Health Educator & Mentor

Linda Chollar leads educational and self-development classes, workshops and seminars on complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) across the U.S. for both the general public and for professionals. She also offers one-on-one mentoring services to health professionals.

In 1995, Linda began developing curriculum in the field of clinical reflexology for nurses in hospitals, hospice care, myeloma institutes and colleges of nursing. A six-week course taught to a group of 39 staff nurses included each nurse receiving weekly reflexology from Linda. Pain and stress levels were rated before and after the sessions. Of 39 participants, 100% reported reduction in overall chronic pain and stress. This unique training allowed the nurses to immediately integrate hands-on reflexology for patient care, with many reporting reduced medication and ease of patient complaints.

Linda is the director of the U.S. office for Dr. Jesus Manzanares, and is a staff instructor in Community Health Education at Torrance Memorial Medical Center.

Fibromyalgia (FM) Advocate

For her support in the fibromyalgia community and efforts to raise awareness of FM, Linda was the recipient of a scholarship from the National Fibromyalgia Association for FM Advocacy Training. Linda has worked with fibromyalgia clients, been involved in research and education for fibromyalgia for the past seven years.

Private Practitioner

To better serve her private clients, Linda designed a unique system of body-based therapies and wellness coaching that addresses the whole person and promotes the body's natural healing ability. She empowers clients with a deeper understanding of their body, the messages of pain and taking charge with self-care.

Of her work, Linda says, "When someone has had chronic pain for so long, they can dis-connect their feelings from their body. They want the pain to stop and so the body simply stops feeling! Balance can occur with renewed hope, wise choices, re-connecting and feeling again. Strategies to resolve underlying energy blockages of pain can transform chronic muscle spasms, severe pain in the feet, tension headaches, stomach distress or dis-ease. The body, mind, emotions and human spirit (the whole person) must be honored, nurtured and loved back to health and peace. This is the nature of holistic healthcare."

Community Volunteer

Volunteering for wellness events and charity organizations is an important part of giving back to the community for Linda. She loves to demonstrate the benefits of foot reflexology as a drug-free method for pain management. She has volunteered for organizations and support groups for Parkinsons, Multiple Sclerosis, Cerebral Palsy and Fibromyalgia.
